Many of his past cases are well-known. In State vs. Mese, he obtained an acquittal for a CPA indicted on a double homicide RICO case. Known as the "Hungarian Barrel Murders," it was Dade County's largest RICO / capital murder case. This was a 5 month trial. In another case, State v. Rolando Garcia, Mr. Fleisher defended an inmate who had been on death row for 16 years. The case required five retrials on five different homicides, and the defendant is now free. Another particularly notable case was State v. Theresias, in which Mr. Fleisher served as lead counsel. The day before the jury selection, Mr. Fleisher was able to prove that the state's key witness was the actual murderer.
