Attorney Profile

Bruce H. Fleisher has defended criminal cases since 1973. He was a trial attorney in the Office of the Miami-Dade County Public Defender for three years, and then established a private criminal defense practice in the Miami area in 1976. His practice encompasses both state and federal charges in South Florida and nationwide. He has also represented foreign nationals from Latin America, Europe, Canada, and Mexico. Mr. Fleisher is a member of the Florida Bar, Federal Bar, Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, the United States Supreme Court, United States Tax Court, is a Certified Civil Mediator and is also a member of the Florida Bar Grievance Committee.

In more than 250 jury trials, he has handled every type of complex criminal matter. Of his his 30 first degree murder trials, he has tried 20 death penalty cases tried to verdict since 1990, in which he served as first or second chair “learned counsel.” See a list of a few notable cases on the Past Cases page.

Bruce is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), is a Board Member of the Miami Chapter of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (FACDL), AV rated by Martindale Hubbell, and was recently dubbed the “Oracle of Information” by the Miami Criminal Bar. He has also served as a literary consultant, and has appeared as a guest on CNN.
