Past Cases

The following is only a sampling of the thousands of cases and more than 250 jury trials handled by Bruce Fleisher:

  • State v. Mese, an acquittal of a CPA in a double homicide in Dade County’s longest RICO/Capital case known as the “Hungarian Barrel Murders”
  • State v. Rolando Garcia, a sixteen year Death Row inmate now free after five retrials on five separate homicides
  • State v. Gonzalez, murder of a Miami police department officer
  • State v. Gonzalez-Mendoza, “Baby Lollipops Infant Murder”
  • State v. Bruce, murder of a Miami police captain’s wife
  • U.S.A. v. Gonzalez-Lauzan, contract execution murder of a federal government informant
  • Lead counsel in State v. Theresias, dismissed by entering a nolle prosequi the day before jury selection, after proving that the state’s key witness was the actual killer
  • State v. Locascio: Coral Gables “contract murder”
  • State v. Herndon: insanity defense of the defendant who murdered his physician in his Aventura Hospital office waiting room.
  • A series of fraud cases stemming from an FBI sting in Operation Bermuda Short, representing four defendants, all of whom received very favorable outcomes
  • U.S.A. v. Elliott (Black Tuna) the Nation's largest federal narcotics case at the time (1979). It was a 7 month trial and his client was acquitted of all charges.
